Direct Relief

Home Services Direct Relief

The Butterfly Foundation supports sufferers of eating disorders via financial support for treatment. Our long term goal is to change the policy and practice in the treatment of eating disorders in Australia. Our aim is to make effective treatment and support accessible and equitable for all sufferers, eventually eliminating the need for direct financial relief.

Direct funding to sufferers for treatment & support

Financial relief is given to individuals in situations where financial constraints prohibit access to appropriate treatment and support of their choice. A Direct Relief committee assesses individuals for financial support. This committee relies upon a Centrelink means and assets criterion for appropriateness to receive funding. At this time, applications for Direct Relief from The Butterfly Foundation are closed. However please contact Romy Roth at romy@thebutterflyfoundation.org.au, for further information and related enquiries.
