The Butterfly Foundation - Supporting Australians with Eating Disorders

The Dove Self Esteem fund is a major supporter of The Butterfly Foundation providing us with funds to deliver the Dove BodyThink Program.

The Dove Self Esteem fund is an agent of change assisting young people to improve their self worth, body confidence & media literacy. Via the support of Dove, The Butterfly Foundation has delivered Dove BodyThink trainings to over 2,500 education & community professionals. The Dove BodyThink program itself has now reached over 56,000 young people!

The Butterfly Foundation gratefully acknowledges the support of Dove & congratulates them on the Dove Self Esteem Fund initiative.

Fashion retailer Sportsgirl has supported us since 2007 & we are thrilled with the awareness they have raised about us, eating disorders & positive body image. Over $530,000 has been raised to support our Direct Relief Initiative & to enable us to help other organisations. The Eating Disorders Foundation of NSW has been able to establish a Rural Support Program, Royal Children's Hospital Eating Disorders Clinic has received $80,000 for a clinical nurse, Womens Healthworks in WA has run a five month Body Esteem program for eating disorder sufferers & we are helping Westmead Hospital in NSW to establish a special Butterfly Wing for families.
