The Butterfly Foundation Awareness Week Fundraising Lunch

Many of the images we see in the media today are of people who have been plucked, plumped, primped, preened and photoshopped to perfection! The Butterfly Foundation and Macquarie Bank hosted a lunch to learn how such powerful images are constructed on Wednesday the 5th of September at Zinc, Federation Square, Melbourne.

Our Master of Ceremonies was comedienne Jean Kittson who bravely offered to have her photograph digitally edited live to the audience. Jean also facilitated our expert panel for the day consisting of Janice Breen Burns, Fashion Editor, The Age, Kerry Wells, Former International and Miss Universe 1972 and Julie Thomson, General Manager, The Butterfly Foundation.

This very special event to mark National Body Image & Eating Disorders Awareness Week was a sell out and we wish to say thank you to all attendees on the day for their lively participation. Thank you to the major event sponsor Macquarie Private Weatlh and all those companies that donated raffle prizes to assist in making the lunch such a success.
